Summertime Hair

We've had company for a few days and I've had two little girls to test some hairstyles on!  I don't have time for fancy styles on school or church mornings but summer time is a different story.  I've found that printing a copy of the hairstyles we want to try works better than having to pull out the laptop each morning.
Here's what the girls picked this morning:

My zig zag part needs some practice but overall I was happy with the results.  I have found another hair site that I enjoy, Redpunzel.  Rachel includes styles she does on her own hair.  I have tried one on my self with good results but I'm not near as good she is!

Patriotic Hair

I've found a few more hair blogs that I love, I've added them to the side. We tried a do from The Story of a Princess and Her Hair. Mine isn't near as lovely as hers but I was happy with the end result. It wasn't as difficult as it looks, but it did take about 30 minutes for me to do.

Yesterday our sunny morning was clouded over when I discovered my front tire was just about flat. Of course I didn't notice this until the children and I were in the car ready to go to a lunch date. Luckily there was a nice gas station on the way to the restaurant that had a user-friendly air pump. I was able to make it to Wal-mart after lunch and decided to have my headlights restored as well. Have you seen this? Unfortunately, I couldn't take a before and after of my own vehicle since this was a spur of the moment decision. But I did find some photos on line. I am so happy with the results. Our car is 6 years old but the headlight restoration made it look quite new. Wal-mart charges about $40.00 for this service it's worth it!

Great hair!

I managed to fix Katherine's hair following Jen's directions for Knot Pigs. We had lots of errands to run that day and she needed something cool and I needed a "do" that was pretty basic. It turned out pretty cute and she received several compliments on it. She slept in it and went to gymnastics and swim lessons it's great!
I must tell you how much I love this product. I found mine at Wal-mart. It has made my life so much easier. We use it to keep braids and other styles smooth. It also keeps Charlie's homegrown curly Mohawk looking tidy.
